Firstly, thanks for visiting my website. I am a Scottish-based freelance public relations specialist with over 20 years experience working in UK and international media.
I spent 12 years as one of the senior figures within Scotland’s biggest PR agency the BIG Partnership, the first six were spent within Catchline Communications which merged with BIG in 2004.
After running the agency’s Edinburgh office for five years, I decided to set up on my own as a freelancer to focus on delivering a dedicated, high level yet affordable PR service to clients in sectors where I have a strong track record and can add value.
While hiring a PR agency can be the right approach for some clients, they are not always affordable to companies and organsations who are on a tight marketing budget. Some clients also struggle to get access to and input from the senior people within an agency who spend virtually all of their time on the big budget accounts.
I can offer a hand-on, sleeves rolled-up approach combined with a strong understanding of the media and a wealth of experience across a wide range of sectors.
I also promise to be straight with clients. PR is not always the best means of marketing some companies and organisations. If I feel this is the case, I will not take your money but instead will do my best to advise you on other routes to get your message out and connect you with people who are right for you.
My freelance business is solely built around me so I will only take on a new client if I have the capacity to give them a great service. Otherwise, I will be up front with you and will do my best to find you the help you need through my own network of freelancers.
